- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- Stir beans, onion, garlic, oil, lime juice, salt, red pepper flakes, cumin, and black pepper together in a bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until flavors blend, about 2 hours.
- Spread cream cheese onto the bottom of a serving plate. Spoon bean mixture evenly over cream cheese.
