- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano (undrained)
- 12 ounces dry elbow macaroni, cooked according to package directions, drained
- For decorating:
- Fresh mozzarella cheese slices
- Shredded Cheddar cheese
- Halved green olives
- 4 Green bell pepper slices
- In a large saucepan, cook ground beef over medium heat until brown. Drain off fat.
- Add marinara sauce and diced tomatoes. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Divide cooked pasta among six plates. Top each plate with some of the meat mixture. Use mozzarella cheese slices and halved green olives to make eyes, and green pepper slices to make a mouth. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over part of the mixture for hair.
