- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 (3 ounce) package chicken-flavored ramen noodles
- 3 large grape leaves
- 1/4 onion, cut into large chunks
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons coconut-flavored rum
- 2 tablespoons Syrian zaatar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon barbeque sauce, or to taste
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small chicken bouillon cube (such as Maggi®)
- water, to cover
- Stir orange juice, ramen noodles and flavoring from packet, grape leaves, onion, soy sauce, rum, zaatar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, barbeque sauce, garlic cloves, and bouillon cube together in a saucepan. Pour enough water over the mixture to cover.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until the water reduces to a point where it no longer covers the ingredients, about 10 minutes.
