- 1 cucumber, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sambal oelek (chile paste) (optional)
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes, or to taste
- salt to taste
- Mix cucumber, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, sambal oelek, red pepper flakes and salt together in a bowl until evenly combined; allow to sit until flavors blend, at least 10 minutes.
