- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon honey, or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter) (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Combine milk, water, ginger, honey, ghee, turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until boiling, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove pot from heat. Strain out fresh ginger and serve immediately.
